My Shine

"Steve Shine, chairman of the Allen County Republican Party, said he wouldn’t be surprised if Democrats try to take advantage of the situation.

“The mode of operation of the Democrats of almost every campaign is attacking the person instead of addressing the issues,” Shine said."

Really, Steve?

Example: Invisible Mayor

Do I ever remember that commercial

Despite the advice of his own polling and despite his church-going/family man/good guy facade, there is no doubt that Kelty is planning to go negative. Look at his response to Tom Henry's Safe House proposal: Kelty, a father of four, was able to find fault with a strategy to try to keep kids safe. Watch for the Kelty folks to scrutinize Henry's 20-year city council record and attack him.

And watch Kelty's campaign sink just like Linda Buskirk's when she went negative four years ago.

Steve Shine also called Kelty supporters "free thinking" last week. Umm... yeah.

They ARE "free thinking." Free of common sense. Free of logic. Free of reality...

Its the Kelty haters again. Can anything on this site not be turned into an I hate Kelty thread? Get over it people he is the Republican candidate for mayor.

I, for one, loved the Invisible Mayor ad. Whats better Invisible Mayor or Indicted Mayor?

Typical partisan politics.

Negative is the only campaign Steve knows how to run.

He's projecting here.

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT SYLVESTER?

Steve Shine is an absolute clown - either party would go negative. I'm simply stunned at how people of each party polarize these things. You can't make blanket statements like that and anyone that does is simply ignorant.

Dear David Roach,

Shut up and stay away from blogs. You're just stupid.

The invisible mayor ad was great except for one thing - it didn't work. Kind of like electric hand dryers. You'd be better off just wiping your hands on your pants

I'm disappointed that the "invisible mayor" isn't running for a third term. I've often referred to Graham as the Wizard of Oz, but he's actually been able to accomplish quite a bit in his second and unfortunately final term in office. I'll be sad to see him leave.

I will only be sadder if Kelty replaces him.

Rachel, i am too even though I'm a Republican. He's unbeatable.

oh, I'm sorry... is that the same Tom Henry that plays illegal cherry masters at the Green Frog?

SCAN is a better agency fit to lead the charge for this type program, not the Mayor's office! When I lived in Indianapolis, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Marion County took presidence over this matter, and did wonderful! A grant from a private foundation was used to provide nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies with the signs; no city dollars where used! How much of an idiot are you?
