oh my. I think I can hear the last nail be hammerred into the kool aid coffin

Anonymous said...

Can you blame Souder? His face was on a piece of toilet paper on Kelty's Krazy Kake.

Anonymous said...

"But he said of the cake: 'There was a vindictiveness to it that was immature. … While this isn’t a major thing, it adds to concerns about judgment.'”

Right. This situation has become so crazy (sorry, krazy) that we have come to a point where I agree with Mark Souder on something. What's next?

Anonymous said...

I'd like to hear about the other things that Kelty has done that the general public isn't aware of.

Anonymous said...

Good for Souder. He is right, this is a long list of krazy things. The Kake was the last straw for him. He should have told the truth from the start.

Anonymous said...

"..some other things that have happened since, and there are many that aren’t public.”

CFW readers.... any guesses on what those things could possibly be? Maybe that could be a whole new post in itself.

Anonymous said...

I'm with you, Candlestick Maker.
What are the other things we don't know about yet?

Someone should be pressing Kelty, and people near him, to address this directly, but I doubt the papers will. If Souder knows of these things, so do others.

Do you all think any GOPers are waiting until right before or after the election to expose more problems?

Anonymous said...

the angle of that photo make Harper look like a giant among tiny men. But they are all tiny in their own ways...

Anonymous said...

Sometimes you can't tell everything you know because it may get innocent people in trouble. Hopefully Dan Sigler has gotten wind of the "other" things Kelty has done and investigated them. I wish more people were pressed into exposing the wrongdoings of Kelty. There is a list.

Anonymous said...

Talk about Kool Aid drinkers, that's all you are. Can't you talk about something that matters?

As far as the Souder thing, makes you wonder what his endorsement was worth in the first place if he wants to quibble about cake like you guys do. If he or you are going to judge someone on a gift you deserve each other.

Change Fort Wayne said...

because I know -

talk about something that matters? Even though I hardly mention politics around FW, I still think the mayoral race is "something that matters."
But, please if there is something we should be talking about that is larger than our pending election, please tell us. Is Denny's coming back to Lima Road?? Or how about the new Walmart up on Dupont?? Are those more notable than who will be running our city after the election?

Anonymous said...

"Because i know", are you a Wooten- you sound like one.

Cake is not important, but Souder is.

Souder and Kelty reached out to the same fringes. So if Souder finds Kelty's behavior and political maturity troubling, we all should.

Anonymous said...

This is the biggest story in Fort Wayne right now. This will go down in history as Kelty Kake Gate.

Anonymous said...

Who baked the Kake? And why did they put Mark Souder's face on a piece of toilet paper?

Anonymous said...

To the Kool-Aid drinker that called herself "Because I know":

Are all of you that ignorant or do you purposely miss the entire point? Kelty was able to get you gullible people to the polls in May but he hasn't fooled us all. He is a shiester, a liar, a user and a lousy leader. I was so disappointed to Souder endorse Kelty because I thought he had more sense and intuition than that. I'm so happy he came to his senses. I just wish he would expose everything else he knows about Kelty.

Anonymous said...

Kelty would be a great used car salesman.

Anonymous said...

How much do you want to bet that when Kelty is interviewed about Souder pulling his endorsement, Kelty calls him his dear and wonderful friend? Kelty has more dear and wonderful friends that hate him than he cares to admit.

Anonymous said...

Thats right, listen to the Kool Aid gang, Kelty doesnt need any of you to win this election. He doesnt need souder supporters, he doesnt talarico supporters, he doesnt need the executive committee, he doesnt need the chapel, he doesnt need Peters supporters, he doesnt need harrison square supporters, he doesnt need non-smokers, he doesnt need any democrats, he doesnt need any moderates. All he needs is his core group of koolaiders.

Go Matt Go.

Anonymous said...

Well anonymous 2:10 - thats a pretty sad thought if you think about it.

If only 12,000 people vote in Fort Wayne which consist of the 4% of the extremist population - it might be possible.

In other words, if Matt can rile up his core group of wack jobs - he might win this election.

If the "souder supporters, he doesnt talarico supporters, he doesnt need the executive committee, he doesnt need the chapel, he doesnt need Peters supporters, he doesnt need harrison square supporters, he doesnt need non-smokers, he doesnt need any democrats, he doesnt need any moderates" don't vote in November then shame on everybody.

Anonymous said...

Oh why oh why oh why do you people do not talk about the relationships between Don Willis, Tom Henry, Jerry Henry, Karen Goldner, and the bunch all connected by your tax dollars?

Anonymous said...

Anon 3:57

Who cares ? Fort Wayne is small enough - people know each other. Is that wrong ?

Anonymous said...

Anon 3:57.... Right! You keep believing that bunk. They would love for you to do that and keep you head stuck firmly in the sand.

That is also why a company that rolled out a brand new piece of software for the City of Fort Wayne won't even promote it on their own website?

That is why Tom Henry never mentioned that he worked, and may still be working for Don Willis.

That is why Karen Goldner never talks about her boss Don Willis.

That is why Don Willis and Jerry Henry never talk about thier business with the city.

That is why Don Willis hides behind the blinds and pulls the strings on his little smurfs.

Of course they are just friends and none of this means a thing.

Just like Willis "slipping the zoby poll" to Kelty. Nothing like trying to become friends to someone who may cut you off.

Just like maybe we will learn that Rost money to Kelty was in fact right out of Willis pocket. That one we will have to wait on.

I know. Just friends.

Let's play a little game, shall we? Let's call it "The Blame Game."

Who do you suppose Kelty will blame when he is interviewed on the news about Souder pulling his support.

Some suggestions:

GOB
Democrats
Common Cause
Marla Irving
Steve Shine
The cake decorator
Sam Talirico
Paul Helmke
Republicans
Nelson Peters
Glenna
Kathy Hawks
Tom Henry
Tom Henry's grandmother
Kool-Aid drinkers
His Aunt twice-removed
CFW staffers (you funny guys)
Tracy Warner
The news media
Souders grandmother

or.........drumroll please

Himself?????

Oh I forgot....

Don Willis, friend to all Democrats and a few selected local GOP members resigned his position on the Board of Directors of Tower Bank the day after the May election. He said he was too busy to continue on.

Gosh, I bet his fellow board members was saddened. Of course that includes Jerry Henry.

But they are only friends.

Then we could talk about... no we will save that for later on...

What a bunch of lambs...

It's still on his website:

Souder Endorsment

Is AWB Kelty's webmaster? He should get their site up-to-date.

Karen Goldner said...

"That is why Karen Goldner never talks about her boss Don Willis."

Actually, I do talk about my boss, Don Willis. I think Don is a great guy and I have a lot of respect for him. He's a really good boss.

But he is not the reason I am running for City Council. He has not made any contributions to my campaign and that is fine. Frankly, he thinks I am a little crazy to run for Council but in that opinion he is joined by a large number of others.

Don and I agree on some things and disagree on others.

Sorry to disappoint, but that's it.

This feed has completely spun out of control.

Karen, I bet you support the City just buying the OmniSource property and we pay for the clean up? Or do you support we buy it with a bunch a crap words that they will assist in the cleanup? There are others who have raised these questions and here is your chance to answer.

Also, you working with the city should know how bad our rivers are with ecoli and other issues. How do you propose cleaning them up?

Would you drink one small mouthful of water out of the St. Mary's two days after a rain?

Of course Don Willis is not going to donate to a person running for office. He is smart enough not to get caught in that one. How could you control the smurfs if you become tied to one party.

Hay, the guy is not stupid. In fact he is very bright.

If he wants to promote his ideas out in public then let him stand up at the mike and become the leader.

Tell me about his deal with the budget with his charter school. The public does not have a right to know? He got his wings clipped on that one.

Anonymous said...

Mr. Goldner,

What major things do you and Don Willis disagree on with regards to the Fort Wayne community?

Anonymous said...

how did this site become goldners mouthpiece? what does any of this have to do with kelty losing souder? i got keltys mailer today. he proudly displays that he has souders endorsement. he also touts that ms. irving is endorsing him. blick talk about bad judgement

Park or Die said...

Let's try to stay on topic here, or we'll have to start deleting posts.

Anonymous said...

Quote from Keltys news interview:" I've never campaigned on Mark Souders endorsement."

Really - all you voting Republicans, check your mailboxes. You'll find Kelty's new campaign mailer in it. With an endorsement list that encludes Mark Souder.

WHY won't he stop the bull----!

Anonymous said...

Hey everyone, pay attention. You so easily let that bizarre sounding poster divert you from Kelty to Willis to Goldner. There IS no story of course about Willis and Goldner, but that wasn't the point. The KoolAiders' really just want to talk about ANYTHING else other than Kelty's string of disasters. Don't fall for it.

Anonymous said...

Let's talk about the City Council candidate who really is relevant to this discussion. What is Mitch Harper saying and doing in all this? Is he continuoing to support Kelty? Does he stand by his endorsment (See Mitch right by Sounder in the pic??) and his choice? Why doesn't he have the guts to say so? If he thinks Kelty is qualified to lead the City now is the time for him to come public. If he doesn't, he too owes it to the City he wants to represent to say that too.
I planned to vote for Harper, but his lack of input on any of this makes me question his backbone. A councilperson needs to have the fortitude to make descisions and to have a voice that can be heard. Does Harper have a voice, or will he be a silent councilman too timid to speak up??
WHERE IS HARPER?

Anonymous said...

Harper is spending his time working on his very exciting blog which focuses on spring peepers and target store openings.

Anonymous said...

Harper is supporting Kelty.

Anonymous said...

Not good for Harper.

Anonymous said...

Has he put this in words anywhere. It seems, at this point you cannot passively support the Kelty candidacy.

Perhaps he's already provided it, but I would be nice to read/hear about his support issue-by-issue.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for continuing the pile-on on Matt Kelty. As a Kelty supporter I can tell you your efforts are having the opposite of their intended effect. We are becoming ever more committed. I have personally spoken with three Democrats who see through the ruse and will be voting for Matt because of this obvious attempt to destroy him. So PLEASE, keep it up!

Anonymous said...

So people are voting for a person for Mayor because of blog comments?

What about experience and credentials (or lack thereof)?

Anonymous said...

Experience? Tom Henry never met a vote to increase taxes he didn't like. Tom also voted to increase his pay in the middle of his council term which prompted Kevin Knuth to call for his resignation.

Change Fort Wayne said...

I'm for Matt -

as an observer in this mess, I'm wondering what it would take to have a Kelty backer to drop their unwavering support.

I'd have to say, those voters that have been on the fence on who to vote for, are more likely going to fall to the Henry side, wouldn't you think?

How long has it been since there has been some good news coming out of Kelty campaign? The primary?

For me to start consider voting for Matt, he's got to quit acting as if he's got a divine right to not play by the same rules as everyone else and accept that he's going to be held to the same scrutiny as any other candidate would be.

Anonymous said...

You would get that out of Mr. Kelty. Not sure why he thinks he's above the law and can get away with so much. I guess....because he has so far.

As to the Kelty fan.. understand your commitment to Kelty. He is a good speaker, he has the energy, he uses those powerful phrases such as shining city on a hill...but he's full of crap. Actually, when he talks like that I think it's queer. Nobody talks like that in real life. I think the only thing that will make you people see "the real light" is his conviction. Sad, sad.

Anonymous said...

Yes, but what about the Don Willis Fred Rost connection? and how about the Fred Rost Karen Goldner connection? and does the City have to buy from Fourth Wave? What do we have to buy? Why? and will Don Willis build another bridge over the downtown area if he is elected Mayor?

Anonymous said...

2:06

What?

Anonymous said...

anom 2:06

Well they still have their Crisis Command Software package available. Then again we just gave them a free demo room at SouthTown. Plus demo space for many of his own products.

I wonder if Henry will still get a commission for sales on MetroMetrics products he can sell the city?

Ms. Goldner wants the people to believe Don Willis has no impact on her thinking or doing? Well for some of us that have worked around Mr. Willis that is complete bull.

No one wants to talk about the workings of Don Willis, Jerome "Jerry" Henry, Mayor Richard, Karen Goldner, Tom Henry, and who knows how many else.

Kelty may be stupid on his own or with the help of others but he did know about the subject of stopping the GOB Club that is running things now.

Anonymous said...

The GOB club..... what exactly is that? How very tireome to keep hearing about the GOB club from the Kelty camp.

What's worse is that Kelty wants to be in the nonexistant GOB club.

Anonymous said...

I'd also like to know what Kelty could do to stop getting support from these whack jobs? It's mind boggling.

Luckily Kelty will fade away forever after election day. That is, unless you're involved in the court system here in town.

Anonymous said...

I'm not so sure. The voters in Fort Wayne are a little...... stupid and lazy.

If Sauder would let everyone know what he has on Kelty, it might convince more of the voters to go for Henry. Even the staunch republicans could vote for henry if people have more dirty little secrets they could spill on Kelty.

My dear and wonderful friends. I'm glad we can have this glorious conversation of the future of this great city. I know we don't agree on everything here, but what we can agree on is the prosperous future God has given us as a community.

Anonymous said...

Was that "preposterous future god has given us"?

what about Don Willis' bridge?
