Okay - good piece by Stockman. How does this bring anything to a close? The campaign laws are in place to prevent just this kind of influence. He provided $6 out of $10 for the Kelty campaign.
He can be the greatest guy in the world - that doesn't mean he should be let off the hook.
Don't confuse the issues with his private life. From what I have been reading, even the loan he took out was financed by his bank. So he borrowed so Kelty could borrow so the campaign could borrow.
If this type of activity is found acceptable, the campaign reporting and funding laws have no meaning and no teeth. The laws are about reporting, not about whether or not someone is a nice guy and has the right to borrow and loan to a candidate or campaign.
I have heard that Kelty on more than one occasion stated that the loan proceeds indeed originated from him and that he lived very frugally. Doesnt this response, if made to GOP donors, show an intent to deceive?
google "Sierra Nevada Corporation" and "Governor Gibbons" (of Nevada) SNC sure gets around ( not SMC, of Tom bosley late night infomercial fame.)
Fred rost- just a harmless little "bomb maker". tell me, Fred- how is working for the Military industrial complex making WMD's "pro-Life; Pro-Family"? boy, stockman is a wordsmith- what would he say about roach if the JG would let them say anything non-defamatory, or libelous about Roach?

My dead fish read it every weekend.
You were correct. Great piece on Fred Rost that should help bring this campaign loan issue to a close. What an impressive guy.

The fact that Stockman couldn't find anyone who is willing to say anything less than glowing about Rost on the record means very little.
I, for one, was shocked to hear that Kelty had nice things to say about him.
If you are referring to the interview with you, it does nothing more than confirm that you're a group of childish fools.
Thanks for reading Cathy
Or you can just read it today.

And as for those cicadas, I was in Cincinnati during the Brood X swarm 3 years ago, underestimate them at your own peril.
Your blog is in the JG? Suddenly you just lost all credibility.
Congrats on making the JG. Inquiring minds want to know what makes Change FW tick.

I don't think the statute contemplates an intent to deceive. Either you violated it or you didn't, regardless of intent.
If he could show he didn't intend to deceive, would he be off the hook? So why should it work the other way around?
