I don't think there's any question that these commissions need to be overhauled, due to them all enabling themselves to fulfill their own self serving development agenda.
Also, how does a low density subdivision development on the fringe of the city "enhance community"? There's a good chance that these people that eventually will buy these houses, will never even meet their neighbors. FW has long lost its sense of community, adding to the sprawl will only lessen our chances of regaining it.

I live in the Cedar Creek area, Holmested Acres to be exact, and I am against developing Canyon Cliffs. However, if you want a sense of community, move to the Huntertown area. We are a community, not just an extension of Fort Wayne. So I oppose the sprawl of the McMansions into this delightful, supportive community with remnants of its not-too-distant rural past. Most, but not all, of these people would not add to community wherever they located. They are more interested in themselves and materialism than others and connections. Are they at the local fish fry? Helping at the local (Huntertown) food bank? Planting trees? Cleaning up the preserves?
