My We Report, You Decide: Kelty Kake

"He (Kelty) said he wished someone would have brought the cake to his attention so he could have had it removed."

Looks like a slingshot.

1. What a scary grin.

2. From looking at the picture most of the people there won't be able to vote for another 10 years.

1. Looks like the baker of the Kake is in white. Kelty looks like he likes the Kake.

2. I have no idea what that is?????

Kelty wants to have his cake and eat it too

Did Kelty close his eyes when he blew out the candles? He knew exactly what was on that cake and I'm sure he got quite a chuckle out of it.

Hmmm. Look at the first photo, Kelty is reading the quite about Nelson Peters. Yet, he told Peters he knew nothing about it when Peters called to confront him.

Matt, JUST TELL THE TRUTH!!

This is the biggest story in FW media now, and Mitch Harper has a story up about how he beat the News Sentinel by five hours on a story about Target.

Anonymous said...

A trivial story, but yet more evidence that this guy has a severe truth problem!!!

Remember when Al Gore used to lie about things that seemingly made no difference whatsoever? He reminds me of Kelty.

Kelty takes lying to a whole new level.

I'm still voting for Matt Kelty - I trust him more than Tom Henry. The biggest lie of all is that Tom wants to be mayor.

He finishes every video with "Sensible leadership we can trust." It's not sensible to reclaim a SafeHouse throw back from the '70's as a fresh idea. I certainly wouldn't tell my kids its safe to go to a Mr. Henry house just because Mr. Henry said it was safe. And I certainly don't trust that he really wants to be mayor. It's obvious to everyone watching these well-financed videos that Tom's being handled - he's been wearing more makeup to make him look younger than many women I know. Must be concerned about looking too mature?

Tom fails to inspire because it's obvious he would rather be doing ANTHING other than running for this office. Tom's a nice enough guy, and probably a man of character and integrity, but I can't trust him to be the Number 1 salesperson for Fort Wayne -- He'll let those who put him up to running run the city for him. And that scares me more than anything Mr. Kelty has remotely been accused of doing.

Cuts both ways people. Guess Tom's campaign is just filled with better, more experienced liars.

That's ridiculous. You'd rather vote for someone who really WANTS to be mayor but is completely inept??

Anonymous said...

It is Tom Henry's ideas that are inept - certainly not inspiring and in some cases like the SafeHouse idea - very dangerous! Certainly not "sensible leadership" to steal an idea from the 1970's without considering that sexual predators can easily photoshop the cardboard sign and put it in their window to
endanger children. Certainly not sensible to use a program that other communities stopped using because it doesn't work!

No original ideas, no fire in his belly, stealing ideas that are potentially harmful for our children that others know don't even work, in addition to not wanting to be mayor are the reasons many like me find Tom an unacceptable candidate.

He may not be the ideal candidate, but he beats Kelty by a mile!

Anonymous said...

My goodness. Is that the best that you can do? Make an issue out of a guy's birthday cake? Tom Henry must be desperate.

Anonymous said...

I heard Henry's campaign is worried. They know Kelty is winning on the issues so they're going negative. So nice that he has surrogates to beat up Kelty on his behalf.

Anonymous said...

I'm certain that it wasn't Tom Henry who made a big deal out of the cake. His name and likeness weren't even on that cake! Sounds like you Kelty fans are the ones who are desperate. You're supporting a man who lies incessantly, and you're commenting on Henry's make-up in his commercials? Wow. We'll see if Kelty is wearing make-up in his commercials...if he can afford to make any commercials.

If you watched the news at 5:00 on Wane T.V., it looks as though Glenna Jehl still thinks this is the primary. The Kelty Kamp makes fun of Nelson Peters and others and she says some blather about "while the opposition is talking about birthday cakes, Kelty is out talking politics". When asked who is the opposition, she stumbles for a second and then says, "anyone talking about the birthday cake."

Come on Kelty people! You won!!! Get off Peters back. The man has done nothing but keep his mouth shut during all of Keltys blunders. What more do you want?

Grand Jury Indictments, a candidate saying---with a smiling, straight face that his 'frugal lifestyle' made it possible for him to give his campaign $158,000 ALL THE WHILE knowing that every penney came from someone ELSE'S lifestyle, an inability to comprehend simple election codes of all kinds, a total lack of personal accountablity--all wrapped up in one candidate. Yet, you want to choose that one over Mr. Henry because you don't like his Safe House proposal? You are an idiot.
The Safe Houses were very sucessful in the past that's why police officers embrace the reintroduced concept--even though sex predators are not new to this millenium. Agree with them or not though...Even if there was a sign posted on every drug den, brothel and liquor store in the City--Fort Wayne would STILL be a safer place than 1 day spent with Kelty on the 9th floor. To quote Sam..this ISN'T an election for Student Senate--use your head and realize what is at stake here!
By the way Tom DOES want to be mayor, deserves to be mayor and will be a great mayor. I don't know where or how you made up the idea that it was any different. If you think entering the race later than Kelty did makes your statement true, you don't know much and you do not you understand politics. Just ask Tom if he wants to be mayor and then BELIEVE him--because HE is honest and trustworthy. (But if that isn't important to you, vote for your guy)

Tom definitely wants to be mayor and I find the criticisms of him to be unfounded. He thinks through his ideas, has well thought and plans and is diplomatic enough to not stick his foot in his mouth. Come on Kelty fans wake up! At what point does his political inexperience, legal troubles, blatant thumbing of his nose at the law (sign on Main St) and the continuation of more lies than we can count?

Say what you will about Nelson Peters, at least he has demonstrated that he has class. He has done nothing to Matt since the primary accept continue on about his business.

Kelty, on the other hand, is without grace, and without honor.

Fort Wayne needs a mayor who will represent our city with dignity and respect.

Anonymous said...

There is nothing graceful or honorable about the theft, yes theft of millions of dollars of taxpayer money to support quid pro quo schemes via Harrison Square. The law was broken by those in the establishment who want to continue the status quo and will soon be exposed for what they are. Tom Henry is the perpetuation of the status quo and backroom deals. His handlers and yes that includes Republicans for Henry who are scared to death of a Kelty victory because he and his administration will shine the light on the corruption kept hidden. They should be scared because Kelty continues to appeal to those of us fed up with elected officials who fail to respect the will of the voters.

Anonymous said...

To not Tom Henry,

You sure you're really Matt Kelty? The "shine the light" statement is a dead give-away. There is no corruption, fool! It's called progress. Go back under your rock.

Is anonymous @ Oct 10 3:12 Conservatives for Kelty?

I sound very well "researched"...

I didn't even know they read this blog.

SYLVESTER!!!! Eats a lot of Kelty Kake. He also rubs it all over himself and rinses if off with Kelty Kool Aid.

"They should be scared because Kelty continues to appeal to those of us fed up with elected officials who fail to respect the will of the voters." That's a great line...Unfortunately your boy will never be elected in the first place.
