Hardball Capital’s investment includes 60 condos priced between $180,000 and $300,000. The condos are supposed to lure young professionals downtown. A January 2006 U.S. Department of Labor study found the median time on the job for those ages 25 to 34 is 2.9 years. Median tenure for professionals is 5.2 years. Turning over 60 condos every three to five years will guarantee business for real estate brokers.
First, I'd love to know where he got the prices for the condos. CFW's crack investigative team has requested information on the pricing several times, with no avail.
Also, theres a huge problem with this professor's logic about time staying at a job. He's stating that people between the age 25-34 leave their jobs about every three years, and professionals leave their job every 5.2 years. Claiming that the condos will be sold every 3-5 years. I personally know several people in this age range, and I'd agree that most professionals leave after 5 years to start out due to them being vested in their 401k and to drive up their starting base salary. But I also know a lot of professionals that have left after their 5 years and have not moved. If we ever can draw more companies employing young professionals, this would happen more often, they could leave after their 3-5 years and not have to be exported out of the city - thus selling their domicile.

this guy should lose his tenure
My brother (in that age range) lives in a condo downtown...he has changed jobs twice since purchasing that condo. Funny, but for him there was no condition of employment that required that he SELL his condo. A doesn't connect to B in this guys argument..
Not really related, but why the hell wasn't Steve Shine listed on the slick lawyers poll?
Did you know that SYLVESTER!!!! is a CPA?
Yeah, I did know that, Anonymous.
I've also learned that Sylvester's certified public accountant status is his main justification for his political input: "Well, as a CPA, I find that annexation..."
Surprisingly, Kelty is very receptive to CPA's (provided they acknowledge JC as the Master CPA)
