Fundraising must not be going well if he can't even pay for a newspaper ad

Nobody wants to give him money now. He's completely blown it. No thanks to his supporters who only made matters worse. With friends like these.......

What exactly does "MEDIA RELEASE DEADLINE" mean? Are news releases typically addressed, "Dear Friend?" Perhaps they will be in the Brave New Kelty World. Because if you know what the heck you're doing, then you're obviously part of the status quo and therefore evil. Plus you're probably pro-abortion and anti-family.

Kelty ought to worry less about his $5.00 contributions and more about getting Sauders endorsement off his website. Sauder is ticked off about it. Who can blame him. To the people calling Sauder a flip-flopper, how was he suppose to know that three weeks after his endorsement, Kelty would be indicted on 9 counts? Come on.

Go to Kelty for Mayor. He has changed his endorsements. Now he has a letter from Mike Pence saying "I CANNOT endorse you in the primary ......but good luck." Oh my gollyjeepers. He is one deparate fellow. Sad so sad.

I'm a little disappointed that you didn't use Pink Floyd's 'Money' for the song.

Actually Mike Pence said "a vote for Matt Kelty is just like a vote for Sadaam Hussein - it doesn't matter. He's already dead".

The campaign is asking for $5.00 contributions??

Ouch

Souder is completely pulling his endorsement?

Double Ouch

Did anyone notice the date on the Mike Pence endorsement. It was sent in April, an entire month before the primary and well before everything hit the fan! This speaks volumes to think someone couldn't even give a full endorsement when at the time none of the controversial issues had surfaced. I didn't see any other individual endorsements, only those from several special interest groups on Kelty's web site. When Kelty loses the race, let's see how many people he will blame. He'll never own up to his own downfall. Pathetic!

At some point you just feel like you need to avert your eyes....I think we have reached that point.

This campaign surely will make some textbook somewhere so that people can study what not to do in a campaign. It could be a day by day study and would cover almost every misstep imagined and (before the Kelty campaign) unimaginable.

The rubbernecking has become painful...someone needs to remove the carnage from the roadway.

The Pence 'non-endorsement' (from April) is not the only strange thing on Kelty's endorsement page. Didn't the Election Day notice on the calendar section (Polls open 6-6) formerly list the Date of the Election? Now there is just a blank space there. Did they forget the date--or just want us to?
Very odd.

Does anybody know whether Mike Pence plans to withdrawal his Letter of Encouragement?

I agree that it will appear in a textbook on how not to run a campaign. I think the page before will be same topic about Nelson Peter's campaign.

Nelson Peters campaign was not fraught with scandal, misrepresentation, childish antics and lies. His only sin was not being able to get his people out. I don't know how you can compare them. You must be a Kelty person.

1:57 am., I believe that 11:07 pm was talking about campaign strategy. I like Nelson as much as the next person, but clearly his campaign strategy & execution left something to be desired because he LOST TO A CRAZY PERSON. I don't think that 11:07 pm was implying that Nelson is as bad as Kelty, simply that both campaigns are examples of what not to do.

Thank you Anon 2:15. Although I don't know Nelson personally, from all accounts he is an upstanding person and his integrity is above reproach. You are correct that what I was talking about was the campaign he ran. As far as Nelson's only "sin" was that he was not able to get his people out, that is like saying that the Buffalo Bills only "sin" in not winning three straight SuperBowls was that they didn't score more points than their opponent. That's quite a sin to have.

Read in context, I thought my post was clear to even the simplest of the Fort Wayne electorate but, as demonstrated by Anon 1:57's post, apparently not. I appreciate the clarification Anon 2:15.

You are welcome, 11:07. Anytime.

Pence is too busy shopping the quaint and Indiana-like markets of Baghdad. He doesn't have time to endorse candidates.

Its embarrasing to be a Republican around here. I stay here long enough I probably will become a Democrat---too much inbreeding on the Republican side.

I stumbled onto this Blog, and most of you just don't get it! I have always voted Republican because of the conservative values. I voted Kelty because our city sucks right now. We've lost 10,000 jobs in the past 5 years, and lost the wage equivalent to 10,000 more. (ask Tokheim, Waterfield and Dana employees!!!!) With increased gasoline prices the money is spread even thinner. What sealed the deal for me was the group picture of ALL the Republican elected officials standing on the court house lawn with Nelson Peters. WT* does that have to do with where our city is going? Replacing an asset (Memorial Stadium)in our city with a duplicate asset is quite foolish. And at what cost? $24 million in tax incentives got the state a Honda Plant. $30 million tears down an old stadium and moves it a couple miles down the road, with no parking, and in an area that, frankly, I'm hesitant to take my family at night! (Rapes, murders, muggings! The stigma killed Southtown, downtown was already there and still is) Kelty the man? perhaps questionable. Kelty's issues, are to the letter what I've been feeling about the city I love for the past 5 years. Kelty is the only way to vote!
