Kelty driven by values
The nightmare Matt Kelty is enduring could be described as nothing
less than a classic case of a political hatchet job orchestrated by
his opponents, many of whom are in his own party.
What is happening to Kelty is dirty politics at its worst, and a man
of Kelty's proven quality and character does not deserve to be treated
as a convicted criminal in the media.
Being exonerated by the election board was not good enough for Kelty's
opponents. They are once again out to destroy his good character and
political ambitions.
This whole mess engineered by Kelty's detractors is nothing less than
a ploy to get his name removed from the ballot so that an established
elite candidate can be installed.
I hope the good citizens of Fort Wayne will see through all the
smoke-and-mirrors politics and support Kelty.
This city needs a mayor driven by good values and a vision for the
future. This city needs a person who is not afraid to make those
difficult decisions that will affect our future while at the same time
listening to the voice of the people. Kelty is that man.

I always figured you folks were closet Kelty supporters :)
OH YEAHH!!!
Come on! I can say Kelty's exoneration by the election board was political since the only votes in his favor were from Republicans just as easily as he can (and does) try to make the case the the vote against him was from the lone Democrat.
We all make mistakes in life and we all get caught. The person with quality values will admit their mistake and move on, those with questionable values get indicted by impartial Grand Juries.
It has always been a myth that the Jim Jones followers drank Kool-Aid, but I believe it was the more generic Flavor-aid.
The Kelty followers are drinking something, that is for sure.
I'm guessing this person won't want the Republican for Henry bumper sticker
how do you plead, Mr. Kelty?
guilty as hell, your honor!

If Matt Kelty hadnt engaged in campaign finance shenanigans, he would not be where he is right now- indicted for lying to a grand jury.
the rest of the iceberg is whetehr Fred rost, the "Jails", and Don "Vito" Willis bundled any money to make their apparently illegal loans.
the rest of the smoking gun is that the loan was tied directly to his candidacy, explicitly. that is the "fatal error".
The GOP blew it. that will teach them to obey reagans 11th commandment. If you are going down in a sinking ship, the best srtategy is to take down the criminals with him. As Benjamin Franklin might have said "If I hang, we all hang together".
If candidate Kelty doens t cop a plea (photoshop simon rios, and Matt Kelty- giggle!) before the election, and then is removed from office, I do all I can to implode the whole crooked bunch. crooked politicians, cops, judges, and those who have taken an oath of office to uphold the laws, and are in a position of trust deserve to be jailed with the other scum of society- there is no difference between a baby-raper, and a crooked politician, ethically speaking. white collar criminals deserve to hang, because they should know better.
dont cover for your bosses- rat out the guilty!
That was the most sane thing Roach has ever said. And it was still utterly ridiculous.
One of the funniest posts yet. Too sad that some will read it at first glance and feel vindicated. I felt utterly speechless when I read the N-Sentinel's guest editorial yesterday by Sharon Kuhn. She must be bathing in the Kool Aid! The Kelty supporters continue to blame..well, everyone but Kelty..and alienate almost everyone else. I have to tell you, as someone who travels around the state quite a bit, it is more and more embarrassing to be from Ft Wayne with the political scene the way it is--the belief that these people are not only blind and gullible but also crazy is pretty widespread.
BUT it is hard to feel sorry for people when they are their own worst enemy.
