I think I just threw up in my mouth.

seems it was more along the lines of "look at me! are you looking at me? pay attention. dont you dare screw this up any more than you already have. got that?"

So, Kelty is really Marla's puppet and this is all about revenge.

Remember, voters, that a vote for Kelty is also a vote for Marla (who will undoubtedly be a deputy mayor or a department head).

If Matt is elected, you can expect a lot of concrete work to take place in the city.

WTF, damn man, after seeing that photo I think there really out to be some kind of disclaimer on this site.

That just ain't right.

Anonymous said...

Marla would do anything to get back in the public eye. She is so self-important, she doesn't believe that no-one likes her. She and Kelty deserve each other.

Just when I am about to stop reading this blog I stumble across comments like these. Hysterically funny!

Isn't nice for a photo not showing others standing around and within earshot of what was being said know the real truth. Then again this isn't about truth in the first place.

If Marla is looking for cement work then why not ask Ken N how much Liberty Const. has made off of him setting on the BZA?

For the unenlightened in Fort Wayne backdoor politics, can someone shed some light on who she is and why she is evil?

Anonymous said...

She is "no-one" and needs to remain that way.

Anon 10:58,

Marla Irving is a former Allen County Commissioner who was defeated by Bill Brown in the 2006 Republican Primary.

Anonymous said...

Marla is a "no-one" because she would not play the games of the dark side hiding behind their money. She spoke her mind and did what she thought was right! Gosh, and to think we wanted someone like her to hold office. What am I thinking?

Anonymous said...

Be careful, Marla is going to rally the 24% of voters that supported her.

Anonymous said...

She got sacked because of the very group Shine blew up yesterday.

Of course this is the same group that got her elected in the first place in thinking they could control her. Then they found out she had a mind of her own and that was not acceptable.

While I may not have agreed with everything Marla did while in office I knew that she did things she bleieve would make Allen County a better place to live. That I can not fault her as often there is more then one way to do things.

Anonymous said...

there is no way in gods green earth that marla will be involved in the Kelty city.... no way!

Anonymous said...

marla -quit writing about yourself. Everyone knows you lost your seat because of your lousy attitude and swelled head

Anonymous said...

Kelty:
“Continue to keep us in your prayers,” he said. “Continue to keep the Allen County Republican Party in your prayers.”

Religeon and politics - aren't we fighting this sort of thing overseas ?

Anonymous said...

Only the narrow minded uninformed would agree with that statement.

I for one have no problem with the statement. Now if he had said, "Catholics keep us in your prayers," I would have a problem and consider it more in tune with your second statement.

Anonymous said...

He also mentioned "With Gods blessing -we will win in November"

Is he not stating that God is behind the Republican party ?

Why must he say stuff like this ?

Anonymous said...

While many find it hard to believe Kelty has always been and remains deeply committed to God. He has not nor would he ever try to hide such. You have to admitt it is refreshing that a person shows what he believes.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, that is why I am impressed with the few people that stood up against their own party to stand out against Kelty. Exactly.

All this BS about party loyalty .....it's refreshing to see people that stand out for their beliefs.

Anonymous said...

refreshing? more like childish.. those spoiled brats who have money arent getting their way and now they are crying babies... good riddens... Tom Henry is just like Jimmy Carter... a no good "do nothing", but maybe they can buy him?

Anon 2:11, what exactly is it that Matt is going to do? I've been to his site, I've read his "issues" and so far I haven't seen anything of real substance.

Let's have just a sample of his "Action Plan", shall we:

While I am critical of the property tax system in theory, in practice I recognize and fully agree with Gov. Daniels that ultimately this crisis has its roots in out-of-control local government spending and borrowing. As Mayor I pledge to bring that spending under control. While I intend to speak more fully on this subject at a later date, when I am elected mayor my first annual budget will reflect zero growth in City spending.

Well Matt, so how will you accomplish this "zero growth"? Oh, I forgot, he's going to "talk about that later."

Matt apparently thinks that he can spoon feed us a bunch of politcal rhetoric, win the election with no real plan, and "figure it out as he goes" when he is in office?

Oh, I forgot, he has God on his side. I guess we're all safe.

And to be fair, where is Tom Henry's action plan? What is he going to do?

I think it's time for a new CFW poll:

Which commercial does the above photo remind you of?

1.) Mentos (the Fresh Maker!)
2.) Big Red (Kiss a Little Longer!)
3.) Trojan
4.) Cialis, Viagra, Enzyte, or any other male enhancement drug
5.) Preview to yet another Dirty Dancing movie.

Others?

The picture reminds me of dollar night at Pierre's.

Interesting...

Over on AWB, he has posted an e-mail from Micah Clark’s of the American Family Association of Indiana. Here is an excerpt from the e-mail:

As important as that ruling was, for many conservative leaders, the fact that Matt was represented by Jim Bopp before the election board was just as important. Jim is without question, one of the best legal authorities in Indiana on election law and he has worked closely with groups like AFA of Indiana, the Indiana Family Institute, Indiana Right to Life and Focus on the Family on election, life and marriage issues. He has stated that Matt Kelty did not violate state election law.

So Jim has worked with these other groups, eh?

Matt really is a puppet then, isn't he?

Jeff Pruitt said...

Matt Kelty is a phony.

From his PROVEN lies to FWoB over the Zogby poll, to WANE about nobody in the Republican Party asking or insinuating he step down, to him stating he's just a poor kid from the Catholic ghetto when he grew up in Forrest Park.

It's shameful that some Republicans will continue to support a liar and a phony. Politicians that wear their religion on the sleeve only exploit people's faith to further their own agenda.

Matt Kelty is no different.

He is a phony...

That photo is hideous on soooo many levels. Allow me to enlighten those who do not know Marla. She's a self-important ignoramous who loves to take credit for other peoples work. No one really likes her, and I'd imagine that's why she's glued herself to losers. First poster, I think I just gavomited myself. gavomit = gag + vomit at the same time. Pepto, anyone?

Anonymous said...

Hay Truth Said.... Well if that is what Marla is then what is Ken N.?

Here is the tip of the day. People who live in glass houses should not be throwing stones... Keep those words in mind in the next couple of months

Anonymous said...

Phony and the campaign is a Sham. You are a fool if you support this guy to be mayor. An absolute fool.

Anonymous said...

"Ken N." is a man who possesses a high standard of principles, unlike Marla, or Kelty. I respect anyone who puts values ABOVE the prospect of a party win. And that's exactly what he has done.

Anonymous said...

Marla was not fired. Her performance was so poor, her contract was not renewed! Do you know how hard it is for an incumbent to lose--but she worked hard at it, alienating citizens, fellow elected officials, county department heads and even almost everyone in her own office. Her ego was just too large for the office and everyone suffered for it. Again people, personal responsibility is SUPPOSED to be the hallmark of republicans, but that has been absent in Allen County for some time now. Blame everyone else and keep members who don't agree quiet. Perhaps the party name should be changed in light of recent events--GOP--Gag Our Partymenbers! \FWT

Anonymous said...

The average John Doe has never met Marla. While I have some issues with Marla the one thing is she got things done. Oh, maybe not by the good old boys club rules or playing games with department heads that view their departsment their own country. She is a hard driven person who can be a royal pain in the rear but she got things done.

As for Ken N. being such a great time we will see how father time spells that out in the next six months to a year. Then I will decide if you where right or you learn what some of us already know.

Anonymous said...

Marla didn't get things done, she simply took credit for other peoples work. Now, if you consider that getting something done, then yes, I guess you could say she did. She's an unpleasant person to be around, and she's not happy unless she's in the spotlight. In politics you HAVE to be able to get along with those you work with, either directly or indirectly. She wouldn't be able to get along with herself if she was locked in a closet.

Anonymous said...

So if I understand you right to be a office holder you need to kiss everyone's rear that tells you to, that if your rock the boat of the good old boys club, push for new and better ways to do thing then and save tax payers money in the long run you don't fit.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. It makes my Sunday morning that much better off.

Anonymous said...

Marla, Marla, Marla!

There you go again. I hear you started off being a good public servant, but your head swelled and you became misguided and mean.

I'm glad your Sunday morning will be better now.

Anonymous said...

No one said anything about kissing anyone else's arse. Angry White Boy must have made that comment, since he too finds it too painful to get along with other people. As I've stated a couple of times already, MARLA DOESN'T GET ANYTHING DONE, SHE SIMPLY TAKES CREDIT FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S HARD WORK (much like Kelty). Reread that, and do it real slow.

Anonymous said...

I think what we have here is someone who Marla held accountable and now they seek revenge. How sweet!

Why don't you jump on your phone and call Ken Neumeister why she had to go. Tell him to be honest for a change.

Anonymous said...

Ken Neumeister is actually known for being one of the most honest and decent men in Fort Wayne. It would be hard to find a better man anywhere.

Anonymous said...

Honest will soon be tested. How many Democrats do you think he has supported with his dollars in the past two years while setting as President of the GOP Exec. Com.?

Anonymous said...

Come on Anon 2:55 AM... I am waiting on your answer about Mr. Honest Neumeister. Who acts like he is the champion of all GOP members.

The fact is at least one DEMOCRAT got financial aid from Mr. Honest Neumeister. This took place even though the top GOP powers told us to support a person within our party. That hundreds of people busted their butts and others gave money to this person while Mr. Honest Neumeister was sending money to person on the other side.

I waiting for you to tell me that Mr. Honest Neumeister told the party members of this money, who it went to and when.

Anonymous said...

Well since you did not answer I would guess you did not know.

Let us try Phil GiaQuinta when he was up against Kevin Howell. Try April 13, 2006 to the tune of $250

Have a good day and all of you Pro Neumeister fans tell me how great this guy is to all members of the GOP. He sets on top of throne and from now on he is KING NEUME.

Anonymous said...

That's an interesting commentary on "King Neume." It's almost as if the campaign finance laws were written so the public would have such information.

Anonymous said...

I was told that someone here on the blog could answer my question. If someone used church property in their run for office would it be against the law or would it be a problem for the church since they don't pay taxes? Would it have to treated as in kind donation?

Last question. How much can a business do for a person running for law without filing papers that it was in kind service?

Anonymous said...

should have been running for office without filing

Anonymous said...

Anon 10:20: contributions of $100 or less per year (whether cash or in-kind) are reported by a campaign in the aggregate but need not be itemized. In other words, there is typically a line in the campaign finance report for "unitemized contributions" that would aggregate all of the contributions of $100 or less. I believe that is true whether the contribution is from a business or an individual.

Thanks for the info.

Campaign finance reform is a joke. Most people don't care about it as an issue anyway. The media and a few pundits make it one. I'm more concerned with the blatant quid pro quo generated by current elected officials in fiascos like Harrison Square. Who received real estate commissions for purchasing the properties? Makes me sick.

Anonymous said...

Is perjury a joke also?

Anonymous said...

Ken N. is out for himself, and believes it's not what you know it's who you know. That's why he supports candidates. What can you do for me?
How many contracts or deals have been made besides the jail? How many things has he sat out of, but lobbied for on the Plan Commission?
If you only knew.... honest? ha!
