Wow, I'm really not sure what to think about this.
The party is fractured and this is clearly a sign that McGauley isn't the only one to question the party's support for Kelty.
Some will say that this is the beginning of the end for the "good old boys" club, which is a promising prospet. But when you look at the new regime (Kelty and Co.), I think we're trading one batch of bad apples for another.
A bunch of self appointed slef serving and self promoting people are divided. Gosh it took longer to happen the I thought.
But they are 3-0 in wins. They arranged for Joe S. to be beat because he did not march to their desires. They arranged for Marla I to be defeated because she was a free thinker who did not march to their wishes. Now they have DESTROYED Matt K.
I can not wait until I get my chance to serve. Oh, that is right they are self appointed!

Ok, so I can see where this guy would want to be confident about his innocence, but he is absolutely convinced that he will win the election in November?

Whether or not I know Matt is not the issue. I was referring specifically to his statement about his certainty that he will win in the fall. Nobody every knows if they are going to win, and to say that they are is just plain arrogant. He can be confident in his message, and confident in his campaign, but until all of the voters are cast on November 6th, he shouldn't discard the fact that VOTERS decide the election.

Did you guys see how Matt Kelty stumbled on his television interview when he was asked "from one Christian to another" whether he knew the funding sources of the poll ? I've never seen such a nervous response in my life.
Kelty knew exactly what he was doing when he 'fibbed' about the loans. He also knew who paid for the Zogby poll. For a professed 'christian' man, he sure does lie a lot! One thing Kelty is good at is brainwashing people who [evidently] cannot think for themselves. I actually feel sorry for those people, well, most of them anyway. Just too many lies and inconsistencies.
I'm glad to hear that Cathy Hawks is voting for Henry. I'm republican, and I will be voting for him too. I feel it's necessary to jump party lines on the mayoral race this year, as it would be the best thing for Fort Wayne. We can't afford to have a mayor who cannot be straightforward with the community he's overseeing.

Hmmmm, so the Precinct Committee can eliminate Shine, and Shine can appoint someone to replace Kelty if he is elected and then found guilty.
Gee, I wonder why Shine eliminated the Executive Committee.
If people think that the party is heading in a new direction, you're wrong. Ken N. will be replaced with the likes of Fred Rost (in terms of party power). It's sort of like when a company releases something "new and improved!" Same $hit, different box.
Why would anyone support Tom Henry? It would be like voting for Jimmy Carter again. He didn't do anything good for this country while he was in and Tom didn't do anything good when he was in city council. Look Matt is guilty or innocent. If he is guilty than there will be a republican caucus to replace him. if He's innocent.. than every ill will person in this room owe him a personal apology.
