This is ridiculous. A body that was formed to allow differing opinions in order to provide a broader direction for the party has been dissolved because of people have differing opinions.
I read that Shine has said he will not appoint McGauley to a pct committee person spot because of what John said. Unlike the Exec Committee, Steve can't just get rid of the pct committee people. If McGauley was elected he stays, if he wasn't he can run next time. Steve can't keep him off the ballot. You go for it John. I find it strange that Shine now says that Republicans don't criticize other R's--yet it was Steve and this SAME Exec Committee who unovered this mess in the first place by giving Matt an ultimatum to 'come clean' with the finances. The Exec Committe thought the donor was someone else entirely and they wanted her ousted at all costs--but once they opened the box they couldn't shut it again. I guess Rs CAN turn on other Rs--as long as Steve is calling the shots. Rick
This is a good thing really. I think we need a chairman that will lead the party. Not one that will hide behind committees and layers of executives. Hopefully Mr. Shine is up for that.

As this site is very public, and you have repeatedly criticized your fellow Republicans, can you explain why you consider yourself a “Reagan Republican”. The tone of your posts seems to be in stark contrast to the great leader’s style.
Shine made the right choice, the purpose was to avoid such infighting as this, people got to money hungry and acted as cry babies. The precienct committemen actually run the party. He's got my blessing.
