Change Fort Wayne has received word that blue chip prospect Devin Ebanks out of Queens, NY will likely be committing to play basketball for the Indiana Hoosiers beginning in the 2008 season. Ebanks will announce his intentions to the media on Saturday afternoon. Ebanks is a 6'8 forward ranked as a top 10 prospect nationwide. He will join Fort Wayne's own (North Side) Eshaunte "Bear" Jones in what is shaping up to be another great recruiting class for coach Kelvin Sampson. Jones is a 6'4 shooting guard who is nationally ranked in the top 100. Eshaunte is currently playing for the Indiana All Star team in their annual tour and games vs. the Kentucky All Stars. He will spend a year working on his academics at Hargrave Academy in Virginia before enrolling in Bloomington next fall. This is good news for local basketball fans as both Indiana and Purdue are stockpiling top prep talent from within Indiana and nationally. Both schools boast nationally ranked incoming freshmen classes. May the rivalry heat up.

I just ran a search for him on youtube and the kid can play. I went to IPFW but I follow all the teams around the state. Good news for IU fans.
