My Kind of Newspaper

Great Editorial

I believe there is a theme to the editorial: Change, change, change, change, and more change. We're not talking about nickels and dimes here. We're talking about big buck spending.

Quick question FW: What's wrong with having something great?

Good editorial. While I don't personally agree with adding a baseball stadium downtown, I DO think that downtown growth is in great need. As someone who might be starting up a business downtown in the next few years, I really do hope that this effort pays off.

That said, I'm also concerned that a change in leadership in the Mayor's office might just kill this golden cow before it can shine. Only time will tell.

Sometimes, people just need to be led kicking and screaming to what is good for them in the long run.

This administration has been a downtown friendly admin. I think its too bad Mayor Richard is not running again. I think he could accomplish some good things for the city.

I read the News-Sentinel editorial on-line and kept waiting to read the BUT... part stating why HS would be a terrible idea. When I didn't find it I assumed that someone (perhaps you, CFW?) had hacked into their website to post a fake article. Surely we couldn't expect actual progressive and supportive editorials from the NS? I am amazed. Simply amazed. Happy, but amazed.

I was also surprised in a good way.

Wish Mayor Richard would be around longer as well. I can only hope the next mayor will pick this thing up and run with it.

Mayor Richard has been absolutely stellar for this town. I don't think alot of FW residents realize what a gem we have with him. Just turning the old Southtown Mall eye sore into a productive site is quite an accomplishment.
