The early 90's, the good ol' days in Fort Wayne.
The Komets won the Turner Cup, a baseball stadium was built in a huge parking lot, the Three Rivers Raft Race was stopped and the first Applebees opened up on Parnell.
One of my fondest memories was the old Coliseum. Not the games, not the concerts but the hallways during intermissions. As a kid, I thought I was on a tropical island with a huge volcano erupting.
You see, thousands of Fort Waynians would leave their seats to have a cig in the hallway. There was smoke everywhere! It was so cool. I could run around while dying my lungs black.
Bring back the cigs...bring back the smoke
I miss the good ol' days.

Smoke out the Liberals
Why exactly did they stop the raft race anyway? The TRF website really kinda neglects that point...
Our family moved away in 1977, but one of my 'fondest' memories was trying to walk to a concession stand or washroom in between periods at Komets games while holding my breath.
