MY EXCLUSIVE BLOGBY MAYORAL POLL

Tom Henry leads the way with 45% of the vote

Nelson Peters comes in second with 38% of the vote

Matt Kelty comes in third with 11% of the vote

What do you all think? Accurate?

Probably Not. I doubt the 40 people that came to CFW (and our own bloggers) are an accurate sample. Then again, when do these polls need to be accurate?

Probably would be a totally different poll result now that Peters has started trashing Kelty.

I don't know why candidates who feel threatened resort to this sort of behavior. It almost always backfires.

"Second",

I haven't heard Peters talk trash about Kelty. Can you explain your comment, please.

second,

Don't you have it the other way around? I believe it's Kelty trashing Peters already and resorting to enethical measures to boost himself up. I still wonder about that "poll" he released. I think there are people looking into that. Something's not on the up and up about that. Why won't Mr. Kelty say who paid for the poll?

Kelty is targetting the hardcore republicans. Given that this is a primary election, he might actually be successful in his approach. However, if he wins the primary I think that he'll lose the general election. He won't be able to attract the moderate and liberal voters.

Now, if Peters wins the primary...I think it would be a much closer race and it would be difficult to predict the outcome.

Ultimately the only poll that matters is the one taken on election day.

Peters has stepped it up a notch, but I still think he needs to put more pressure on Kelty. I'm sure the Allen Co. Republican party doesn't want to see this happen, but if Peters loses the primary to Kelty, he does not want to look back at this primary, say, "I should of, could of". The reward in this case, far outweighs the risk if Peters truly wants the job.

I think GOP is doomed against Henry if Kelty gets the nod over Peters.

PLEASE nominate Kelty. . .I love a good rout!

Well, Good, you certainly have experienced plenty in your lifetime from the losing end.

I agree. God forbid, if Kelty does end-up beating Peters, moderate Republicans will usher Henry into office. I call this the "Joe Squadrito" effect.

How can one forget the Joe Squadrito effect? Its like deja vu all over again with Kelty. I remember thinking, "If Squadrito becomes Mayor of FW, this town is toast". Thankfully, we had Graham come in and save us from this tragedy.

Graham Richard saved us from what tragedy?!!! Richard did nothing for this county and had no balls to accomplish anything!!! Tom Henry is just as bad digging Allen County into a huge hole of debt. Squadrito would have turned this town around and would have been the best mayor this city has ever had.
