My Kelty Kid

The 4th Video Blog Entry from Dannyjo4jc

Dannyjo4jc has some pretty harsh words for Congressman Souder in the video, yet he sports a "Souder for Congress" sticker on his guitar.

Dannyjo4jc also defends the AFA's Radio Commercial in his video blog.

And this will surprise some people, Dannyjo4jc is the person who recorded the radio commercial for the AFA!

Finally, Dannyjo4jc explains three reasons why he'll be voting for Matt Kelty. His second reason is "Matt Kelty's knowledge of history" and the fact that "Matt Kelty knows about things that were invented here in Fort Wayne."

That intro song was absolutely beautiful. You think he'd have more Kelty pictures rather than his own whenever the "Superhero" line came up, however.

I'm just glad none of those pesky "details" or that annoying "practicality" ever gets in the way of Kelty's vision. How much does that shining city on the hill cost anyway...? Oh well, I guess that's just a detail!

Kelty knows about Fort Wayne History!?!?!? I'm voting for him!!!

What is up with this kid badmouthing Fort Wayne? It may not be perfect but it is better than many other cities in this country.

Kody, you hit the nail on the head. The Kelty supporters seem to think Fort Wayne is horrible

This is the type of "stuff" that scares me about the future of Fort Wayne and our country in general. Maybe Matt will tap in to this guy for a deputy mayor if he is elected!

I also agree with the others. The Matt Kelty ads seem to paint a picture of this city as desolate, desperate, destititute, and otherwise falling apart. I guess I must be living under a rock.....I don't see it that way!

this kid is nuts just like Kelty

"harsh words for Congressman Souder" Souder's a good guy, i'm not bashing him. just disagreeing.

I'm not trying bad mouth the city of FW. that's your idea kody. i'm saying we aren't what we have been. and why not make it a better place. FW is a good city, but i want it to be the BEST city.

Thanks for your comments and criticism, i appreciate them both, it shows me i'm doing the right thing.

Leave the kid(s) alone. It's not a negative thing to see the young generation take an active role in politics.

If they feel this strongly about making change in the city, then they will be the same ones doing something about it, regardless of which candidate is elected. That should be encouraged...not discouraged.

Don't worry.

Most of them can't vote.

Daniel,

It is not my idea that this city is bad. Your words on the video are what lead me to my conclusion about your thoughts on this city.

No, Fort Wayne isn't perfect. Maybe it has seen better days, but so have most other cities in this section of the country. My point is that Fort Wayne is a lot better than places like Gary. We should appreciate what we have a little more.

I'll say it again: Kelty and Souder (but not the Professor or Mary Ann) are all a bunch of bass-ackward, throwback, "let's live in the past and lock the castle gates" douchebags!!!!! And that kid in the video is a super-douchebag in the making!!! This is why I hate Allen County's Republican stronghold: brainwashing. When they fire up the Hitler Youth this is what you get.

Barranda:

Posting an ill-informed diatribe on YouTube isn't exactly taking "an active role in politics." It's more like taking an active role in the A/V club. There's very little in this video that shows any serious consideration of the issues. Sure, we need young people to get involved in the process, but those who hope to warrant anything other than ridicule are going to have to much, much better than this.

AJ,

Your opinion is your opinion. I submit that posting videos explaining your political positions is taking an active role in itself. It's also quite apparent that he's doing more than that. What I don't see is him posting jack-ass videos or endangering the public with traffic stunts. Keep in mind I never said his video wasn't misguided. I simply pointed out the flaw in mocking a 15 year old. Of course, that is much easier to do when one posts anonymously.

Fair enough, and points taken. I absolutely agree, however, that this is a step up from "posting jack-ass videos or endangering the public with traffic stunts." At least this kid is doing something he believes to be constructive, instead of just trying to get attention.

FOR THE RECORD!

I"M 19 AND I CAN AND WILL VOTE!

other than that Kody T. you make an excellent point. but i think that my negativity towards where things a is accentuated by the fact that i'm contrasting them to where i believe Matt Kelty will take us.

AJ ad Barranda, i agree with you youtube isn't a prime way to display being active in politics. i put alot of hard work and research into it, but this video is only a small part of my involvement in this campaign. i didn't feel it necessary to bring that out in my video's.

thanks for all your comments.

Good grief, I simply can't watch the whole thing, it's too painful. Argh....

Daniel, you state that Kelty's attorneys filed a 36 page motion to dismiss. You also stated that within this motion there is verbiage to dismiss the two perjury charges due to the way a question was asked. Sigler asked, "Is that your testimony?" Instead of asking are you telling the truth. Um, excuse me, but if you're under oath I believe the ENTIRE TESTIMONY is supposed to be the truth. I wasn't aware that a prosecutor had to ask if you are telling the truth at the end of a testimony.

barranda said...

OK, Daniel is 19 years old. I'm not sure where I got 15. I guess the video just looked like the work of a 15 year old. I retract my comments.

Truth

I'm no Kelty fan, but Daniel is right about one thing. If someone asks me, under oath, "Did you tell Smith that your name was Bill?" And my answer is "yes", as long as that is what I told Smith, its not perjury even if my name is Jim or Bob. If the prosecutor does not do the simple follow up step of saying, "Well, is it your testimony that your name actually is Bill?" it's not perjury.

I want these Kids to leave Fort Wayne and their parents for a few years so they can be exposed to something other than they were raised with and then come back and tell us how they feel then.

Anonymous said...

go to college, you are exactly right.

I hate to say it, but that's why most of these kids never come back to Fort Wayne. There's a whole WORLD out there, and Fort Wayne isn't the most exciting place to end up.

But Fort Wayne is a pretty good place to live. Cost of living is low, there are lots of good jobs, and lots of fantastic cultural institutions - our Civic Theater, Philharmonic, Museum of Art, and Library System are all top notch, for a city the size of Fort Wayne or larger.
