Anyone filing a lawsuit will also likely be required to post a bond to repay the city for any costs for delaying the project if the city wins in court.“We would argue that (bond) would be mammoth,” Manges said.
Manges said the bond should have to be at least $4 million because the court battle could delay tax revenues from the development. If the lawsuit caused enough delays to actually jeopardize the entire project, Manges said the bond could be hundreds of millions of dollars.
