My Bus Stop

I was very confused after reading about Mark Souder and his bus stop in the Journal Gazette this morning.

It seems that planning for the new Social Security Office (a federal issue, not local) has been ongoing for years. Where was Mark Souder two years ago?

Fort Wayne is the largest city in Mark Souder's district, you would think he would have some first hand knowledge of what was going on with a new Social Security Office in his district's largest city.

The new Ronald Reagan Expressway signs are just great, I'd love to see Regan on the Dime and I just love the leadership with the Veteran's Hospital...but someone dropped the ball on this project.

The social security office being by the airport is ridiculous. Why would you put a public office that people need to go to in such a remote part of the area? Government offices should be located in a central location. We might as well move the Vital Records office to Woodburn. While we're at it I think that Leo would be a good place for the courthouse and the corner of Wayne Trace and Tillman a good place for the city clerk. Driving around to get a new SSN card, birth certificate, going to court and paying a parking ticket would be a snap and I would be able to see much of this great city and country side.

If it had anything to do with lighthouses, notre dame, drugs, or abortion, souder would be all over it like .. well. you know.

Dont you get it? its all part of the GOP agenda of reducing entitlements, and excessive spending by the Liberals, led by Hillary, etc.
The goal is to make it as hard as possible for anybody to get what they piad into the system all these years, so they give up, so the GOP, led by "the current occupant" will be able to keep funneling cash into the exxon-mobil-BP- Halliburton, etc. corporate ATM machine.
Every dollar the poor, veterans, the disabled, the ill, (mentally ill), and so on the FEDS and Wall street dont have to pay to them, is a dollar to fund the war, and get our soldiers killed.

Since the claims office in near smith field, and the other one is near Baer field, maybe Sam bollinger can make a buck shuttleing the cripples from one end of town to the other, and running a scenic air ride on the weekends( giggle)
but its not funny what the GOP, and congress is doing to our veterans hospitals, food stamp programs, unemployment, medicare.medicais, the crippled, old, infirm, etc in need of social security.
Maybe souder needs to read the "prayer of St. francis", and start walking the walk, not just talking the talk?

Or maybe just vote out the ineffective, back benching demagogue?

“that the new location would be accessible via public transit. Moreover, an unsuccessful bidder on the new office project has told my staff that accessibility to public transit was a requirement for any potential bid on the work.”

That unsuccessful bidder should be taking this to the GAO for an official protest. If the solicitation for bids said it must have access to public transit, and their bid had access to public transit while the winner's didn't (and thus didn't conform to the solicitation)... they may have to do the solicitation for bids over again.

Parson,

Dave Roach has been a member of both the Democratic and Republican parties. He even tried running as a Libertarian, but we have standards. If he tries to join the LP I will personally try to block his membership on the grounds that he has a history of advocating the use of force to forward political goals. He has sent threatening letters to Tracy Warner and Mike Sylvester.

In short, you might like his ideas, but his methods are abhorrent.
