It's been weeks and we still have no idea what the genius, Genesis Fort Wayne Economic Plan entails. Perhaps, Mr. Kelty has been distracted by other things.
So now it's time to guess. Genesis is a book in the Bible...could Genesis Fort Wayne be centered around a year long downtown Bible Camp?
Hey, they wouldn't have to go far to get hardware for the camp.

Truly scary indoctrination - kids at those ages do not understand religion. Most are doing what their parents or some other significant adult wants them.
Maybe Kelty wants to build one of those camps instead of a baseball stadium?
I'm sure this has already been looked at by the Kelty camp.
Things like this scare me to death - there is a really good reason for separation of church and state. I'm really worried about the libertarians that are pro-Kelty. One one hand they think that his pro-business is positive (which it is) except free market is not successful unchecked. Case example: the oil industry. The price of oil skyrockets because we are at capacity to refine oil. There is absolutely NO incentive for the oil industry to produce more refineries when the price will continue to rise. There is a finite source of oil - let the price rise and extend profits over a longer period of time.
But they ignore the fact that Kelty could aim to reduce personal freedoms which is even worse.
Free market is successful when there is a lot of competition. Eventually free market leads to very few or a single monopolistic entity. This is one the role of government - to prevent trends that make free market no longer work anymore Free market alone eventually is self destructive. The "let anyone do whatever they want to in business" will eventually lead to a single power dictating consumer choices. In Fort Wayne, we now have 3 shopping choices for groceries: Walmart, Kroger, and Meijer. Walmart now dictates over one half of all U.S. consumer staple sales. Eventually these large businesses have the power to shut down small businesses. Look at the mid part of the 1900's when GM, BF Goodrich, and Ford bought up all public transportation systems and shut them down. Is this acceptable and healthy for a free market society ?
Looks like Kelty's Genesis Fort Wayne Plan is off to a rip-roaring, good start.
In addition to the Militant Fundamentalist Children's summer camp, may I suggest we add a new museum to Fort Wayne's landscape to be built on the former Omni Source site ?
How about a museum that debunks a good portion of world renown science on how the planet Earth and life has evolved over billions of years.
Inside visitors would be able to see how dinosaurs and humans walked side-by-side. A giant Ark could be constructed on the site and it would be permenately docked on the river. The Ark exhibit would feature a T-Rex, Triceratops and Brachiosaurus all sitting on the main deck of the Ark.
The Museum would be built across from Science Central (how ironic) and would draw visitors from as far away as Kansas. People would flock to the Fort to witness and partake in this extradordinary, educational journey.
I say let Fort Wayne lead the way in taking us back to the Dark Ages. Who needs science anyways ???
