Since we are removing the stadium from Coliseum Blvd., I feel it is more than appropriate for Hooters to be next on the chopping block. Tear it down and built it brand new down by the river.

Any riverboat in Fort Wayne will go about 20 feet before getting stuck. The rivers are too shallow.
first of all, this is a joke I'm assuming. Second of all, I don't think the Riverboat is what the post is about anyway. I believe this picture is in Cinci and the Hooters is the building on the left. There is a pretty fun bar next door on the right.
Was it Kelty who was for moving Hooters downtown ? I can't quite remember. Oh well, it doesn't matter who suggested it.
The point I'm trying to make, is bringing Hooters downtown is crucial to the survival of our downtown. Fort Wayneians LOVE Hooters, and it will be monumental for turning this ship around.
I estimate around one hundred people a day patronize Hooters in the Fort. By re-locating Hooters downtown, that would bring close to 37,000 people per year, into the heart of our city.
The numbers don't lie people. Bring Hooters downtown and watch the transformation occur.
To be honest, Hooters probably isn't the answer... but if we could get a row of bars/restaraunts that look like that picture to go in and be successful down there.. that would be great
To clarify, yes this was a joke, and no I didn't mean to make anyone think I thought there would soon be river boats moving through Fort Wayne. I would like to see some development near the rivers though, like many bloggers have suggested on here and other blogs.

So you can scrap that idea.

HAHAHAH. Hooters is the key
Actually, Kelty is promising the huge mystery project for downtown. It is set to be revealed in 6 to 12 months. Its completely hush hush.
I'm glad I have an outpouring of support for this vision. HOOTERS!
Oh and Andy, you're obviously leaving out all you can eat wing day in your numbers.
Wednesday alone may draw 15-16k.
Looking at a dirty river and eating wings from a chain restaurant.
Welcome to Fort Wayne
LOL.. one of the best posts I've seen.
Kelty will probably close Hooters, wasn't he the one that said some kids in Indy were having sex because Fort Wayne has some sex orientated buisness?

Great stuff

Sorry Roach, much like your dinner - your posts are spam. I had to get rid of them.
What did Roach say?? Please, show us!!!!!
Didn't there used to be development down by the river? But then they made Headwaters Park because the river kept flooding.
