Since Fort Wayne seems to be following the State of Michigan's business development plan, I am proposing we keep with them and follow through with a couple of their brilliant business moves.
My Steps to Success for River North -
1. Purchase Omni Source Land.
2. Set up an agreement with Canada, agree to let them export their trash to Fort Wayne (for a small fee of course).
3. Grass over the trash.
4. Lease land to a ski corporation
5. Fort Wayanians have the first ski hill in Northern Indiana!
This plan is brilliant. Why you ask?
1. It Pays for itself
2. Great views of the river
3. its like a park
4. it can be used year round
5. its recreational (that means exercise!)
6. we will not have to do any work or spend any money to change the land from a brownfield because essentially its going to be a landfill
7. Fort Wayne has the potential to make money off of it.
Common Michigan Trash Hill.

We could charge them....one MILlion dollars!
This will be 100% privately funded, correct?
As long as you can tack on the buzzword "market-driven", you should be good to go.
looks like "Mount GiaQuinta"( the Toxic Waste Ticking Time-bomb over there on Adams Center Road.
How about a giant go-cart track/1/8; 1/4 mile speedway?
In addition to the previous idea- put a nice, wide, smooth cement ramp down the side, and a jump at the end for the skateboarders to arc into the skatepark hole.
And what are the laws on brownfield remetiation, and flood plains? and who will pay for it.
looks like another done deal, paid for again by guess who? compliments of Democrat Richard-Before he "richards" you?
Roach, you should run on the Libertarian ticket.
Your ideas would be welcomed there.
I would contact SYLVESTER!
Father marty - I mean no disrespect, but Roach's comments wouldn't be welcome anywhere.
Funding will not be a problem, because the TIF district can be expanded to include Mount (Steve) Shine.
