My Phrase Coinage

A day after the election, I'm going to coin a phrase.

'Local Liberal'

Definition - A registered republican who will more likely vote Democrat locally and Republican nationally, due to the mindset of the candidates running in the Republican column. This is usually in consequence of confusion of what defines a Republican and Democrat in local races.

Feel free to expand/revise this definition.

John B. KalB where are you?

Crawford finished 3rd, but too bad that two Harrison Square supporters finished 1 and 2.

Are you going to redouble your efforts in the fall?

The answer is yes. Since Pape's supporters confuscated all my "Don't vote for Pape" signs just after I stuck them in the ground, in the Fall we will have a person holding each one so they don't get ripped off. By the way, it did make picking up the signs in that area easier this morning - I didn't have to get out of the car. In the Fall, I see Crawford getting beaten. John B. Kalb

Pape is one of the most intelligent and well versed city councilmen we have.

"Fort Wayne City Councilman John Crawford, R-at large, said it is too early to know whether Peters’ backers will support a Kelty campaign. He questioned whether many business leaders who supported the downtown Harrison Square initiative would be willing to give money to one of the project’s most vocal critics."

Crawfish also says he's for limited government.
