While I feel last nights vote was monumental, everyone including those that did not support HS must work hard to ensure success of this. Quoting one of the votes against last night, "a catalyst only works if you continue to feed it". The energy and momentum cannot stop here for this project to be successful.
Right on David! Everyone, get to Home Depot and buy a shovel, then lets meet down at the Belmont Beverages and start digging first thing tomorrow morning. :)
However, I have never bought into the ridiculous 70% opposition numbers that get thrown about. Even Kelty's Zogby poll of staunch republicans showed only 56% opposition. The public forums certainly lend support to the lower number.

Oh yeah, oh yeah?
Baseball sucks!
"Most at hearing favor downtown project"
Wow...after listening to SYLVESTER!, you'd think 90% of the city was against the project.
ha.
kelty looks like an idiot now!
6-3 as expected.
This was just 1 battle against the Fort Wayne mentality. The road is longer, but atleast in this moment, "Victory!" is appropriate.
CFW, YOU DID IT!!!! You actually changed Fort Wayne. All of your sarcastic posts and blubbering rhetoric finally paid off. Good job!
Well obviously those of us here are glad it passed. There's a lot of work ahead of course.

Cool, now Fort Wayne can have it's own version of the Gravina Island Bridge.
There is no doubt that the supporters of the project have far more passion about the project then many of the members of the opposition.
That being said, even Sam Talrico admits that a majority of residents oppose the project...

Didn't seem that way last night, Mike.
I think the majority of people who were educated about the project, favored it. Funny.
Mike,
You are right I do admit.

Sam:
I have to agree with you, I think the number of people opposing the project has dropped over the last couple of months...
