I concur. We do not need any architecturally interesting homes. I prefer having a sub division with 8 fascinating layouts painted in various colors with plenty of cul-de-sacs.
The Snyderman house burned to the ground after years of neglect. I suppose it would have been better to leave a burned out basement. The home's design caused it to have problems with water leaks and heating problems that never were completely solved.

No, I’ve never built my own house as I do not possess all of the construction skills (and associated licenses) necessary to achieve such a goal. Maybe you should have asked if I’ve ever had a house built for me.

Here at CFW we are not complaining, we are bringing some follies of Fort Wayne to light. In this process, we are encouraging conversation and personal introspect.

Andrew, my type of residence is irrelevant to the conversation. You have made the illogical assumption that I am defending this type of development because I have purchased one of these homes. On the contrary, I am merely stating that we live in a free market society. If Change Fort Wayne is unhappy with the current selection of homes available, then he or she certainly has the option of becoming a home builder. Perhaps Change Fort Wayne can strike a balance between design and affordability and provide this area with housing diversity.
I am gainfully employed, but thank you for the job offer anyway.
Being as such, having a full time employment, I try to respond to as many of these comments directed towards me while I may not have time to proofread every comment I make, I hope you were able to get by my grammatic error. SO SORRY (insert sarcasm here).
I am extremely happy with my choice in home or I would have not purchased it. I do not take pleasure in the non aesthetically pleasing houses in suburbia, so I decided to buy a house from the 'used house' market.

Because this isn't a campaign or a poster. This is essentially an online place to place thoughts - quickly, I might add.
Now, if I were to put posters up all around town saying "Do you build a home?" I might be embarrassed and subject to public scrutiny.
I'd also say a word tense mix up is a lot different than comparing one of our city councilmen to Hitler and Hussein while misspelling the whole point of the argument - one that doesn't make sense. A bit different wouldn't you say?
Thank you CFW. I would have to agree, building more "beige boxes" in the 'burbs is not something I'm in favor of. Bring back the front porch on some of these "new" homes to help give the homeowners a sense of a community. Wait a minute ... I believe other cities/communities have already caught onto this idea. Maybe some of the local builders will start thinking outside of the box.
This blog is a vehicle through which you promote your thoughts and ideas. Is this site not intended as a campaign to “Change Fort Wayne” in some fashion? Is it not available to the public and thus subject to scrutiny?
While I appreciate the fact that you try to respond to every post, that doesn’t excuse your careless mutilation of the English language. It diminishes your credibility, just as it did for the people who created those ghastly posters.
