My View on Downtown Parking

I had to venture down to the Courthouse/City County Building to pay a parking ticket.

Of course there was no drive-thru. So I had to park far away in the parking garage that is connected to the building.

I paid the ticket and walked all the way to my car.

Can you believe they charged me $1.00 FOR PARKING!?!?!? I bet you could park in New York City for a whole day for $1.00.

We really need a new Mayor. Someone who cares about all of us in the suburbs. Why should I have to drive all the way downtown to pay a parking ticket??

I agree with the previous poster. Bigger roads, less sidewalks and more cul de sacs downtown. We should just bulldoze West Central and make a nice 10 lane one-way street across town.

We also need to start moving attractions to the suburbs. There is just no parking available downtown. I think the Art Museum would look great on DuPont road...and we could finally have a PLACE TO PARK!

Maybe Fort Wayne should start charging NYC parking prices (try $100/day) for the prime spots so people will start walking longer distances. Not only would it give the city money to spend on a nicer downtown, perhaps we could shake this "Fattest City" business by getting our people into shape.

It is laughable that ANYONE thinks we have a parking problem in Fort Wayne...
